ObamaCare = Slavery

While watching this video, all I could think of was, "Zing!"

Basic premise of the title is that if "Health Care" is a right, then someone else is forced to provide health care. Something cannot be a right if it infringes on the right of someone else. Therefore, slavery.

  1. Well, yes.. The right to property being an extension of the right to liberty, it is true that forcing someone to give away the fruits of their labor involuntarily is the same as forcing him to work for someone else without pay. In other words, theft is a form of slavery. But in the interest of precision, as well as avoidance of unnecessary emotional distaste in response to our views, I would generally describe ObamaCare as theft, rather than slavery.

  2. Ok, yes, the stealing part is stealing. The part that is slavery is calling health care a right. Whenever anyone performing a service is called a right of someone else, that's akin to slavery. Whether it be health care, broadband internet, well cobbled shoes, potable water, or electricity.
    If it is your "right" to have any one of these things then someone must perform a service. But what if no one wants to perform that service? Shall someone be forced to give you drinking water? Of course not, that would infringe their right to liberty. Otherwise...the majority of ObamaCare is indeed stealing.
